Full Time Staff

We ask that applicants be at least rising juniors in High School and older. Staff selection is based on experience, interview, references, and availability.

In total staff stays at camp for about 11 weeks. Staff arrives 2-3 weeks before the first program of the summer for training and 1 week after the last program for camp closing.

Each year staff is different! Although we have hired returners before this does not guarantee spots to previous staff members for the upcoming summer.

No, but we recommend doing HYC or HFKLA prior to serving on staff. Both programs help provide skills that serve the staff and programs in a beneficial way.

All applicants are welcome! If you are applying and have never been to camp we encourage you to explore the website and talk to someone you know who has attended camp before. We have had staff who have not been to camp before. It's like doing anything new, it takes an open heart and mind and willingness to learn.

Great! We have space for you to leave a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice. In the interview you will be able to elaborate more on why you chose those positions. It is not uncommon to apply for a position and get hired for another.

We will do staff selections before the end of February 2025. We want to give everyone enough time to make travel plans and any other important summer decisions.
