This year, parents and guardians will see a new option to pay the full cost of camp. Each summer, Hope for Kids provides a subsidized rate to ensure camp remains accessible for all families. That reduced rate is still available and clearly listed. For families who have the means, the full-cost option reflects the actual expense of sending one camper for the week. Choosing this tier helps support long-term sustainability and operations. There's also a medium tier for those who can afford more but maybe not the full price. Families are welcome to select whichever pricing tier best fits their situation. Thank you for partnering with us to make camp possible for every child! Necessities: • Bible, notebook & pen • Twin sheets & blankets or a sleeping bag and pillow • Shower towels and toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) • Pool towel • Water bottle • Flashlight • Bug spray • Sunscreen • Bathing suit • Girls: one-piece  with dri-fit shorts • Guys: swim trunks with dri-fit shirt • (NO COTTON: if your child wishes to wear a shirt or shorts in the pool, it cannot be cotton; it must be swim material) • Lots of t-shirts and shorts (please see our dress code below, FAQ #6) • We ask that everyone wear shorts that are no shorter than mid-thigh. • Lots of socks & undergarments • 2 pairs of sneakers (in case one pair gets wet) • Long pants, sweatshirt or jacket (it can be cold at night) • Rain-wear • White shirt or clothing to tie-dye at Arts & Crafts (optional) • Laundry bag. • Book, sketchbook, or non electronic quiet activity to do in the cabin during daily rest period For R Camp: 1 can of non-menthol shaving cream for the shaving cream fight. At Hope for Kids we are dedicated to providing an excellent summer camp experience for all. To accomplish this goal, everyone is expected to behave appropriately and promote a safe, fun and healthy environment. We ask that ALL who come to the HFK property read, and abide by our code of conduct attached below. DRESS CODE Tops must appropriately cover the torso, shorts must be an appropriate length (recommended mid-thigh). Utilize the appropriate attire for the pool: Girls should wear a bathing suit that appropriately covers the torso (one piece or long two-piece) and are requested to wear non-cotton shorts in the pool. Boys should wear appropriate swim-bottoms with a non-cotton (recommended dry-fit) shirt. Cotton is not allowed in the pool due to the filter needs. Dress Code Enforcement As we strive to maintain our dress code, we will do so with gentleness and respect for everyone's personal dignity. For those with food allergies or sensitivities, please note that in your Ultra Camp registration. Additionally, each week we will have Allergy Kitchen volunteers at check-in to talk to you about your child’s allergies/sensitivities. Check-in for R Camp, SWOC and Teen Camp is Sunday at 3 PM. Check-out for R Camp and Teen Camp is Saturday at 11 AM. There is a closing ceremony at 10 AM for parents interested in attending. Check-out for SWOC is Thursday at 11 AM. Adult and Junior volunteers who are not counselors, with the exception of Teen Camp Counselors, will need to be at orientation at 10 AM the Sunday of their program. You are welcome to join us for a worship service at 9 AM. If you need to stay over the night before, please email us at info@hopeforkids.org.(mailto:info@hopeforkids.org) Additionally, if you have your children with you, you will be responsible for their oversight during orientation and until they are checked into their cabin at 3 PM. R Camp counselors and SWOC Mentors will need to arrive the Saturday before their program starts at 7 PM for orientation. Dinner is provided at 6 PM in the Great Hall.

As much as we are able, we want to make camp a technology-free zone so that we are all free to focus on each other and our time at camp. Unfortunately pets are not allowed at Hope for Kids for campers or volunteers. If you have a Certified Service Animal, the animal is welcome to accompany you, but you will be asked to provide documentation of the service dog license. Additionally, we recognize that individuals may have an Emotional Support Animal (ESA), but unfortunately ESAs are not permitted.

The deadline to register campers and adult volunteers for R Camp 1 and Teen Camp is June 1, 2026 and July 1, 2026 for R Camp 2 and SWOC.  Junior volunteer applications are due May 1, 2025 or until the programs are at capacity. Yes, we understand that some of you come a good distance to be at camp for the week, so we are happy to allow Volunteers and Campers to request to stay at camp on Saturday nights. We are re-vamping our housing request form, so please check back later on this. If you have any questions, please email us at info@hopeforkids.org.(mailto:info@hopeforkids.org) Please be aware that other programs may still be running and our staff is off duty Saturday, so: • Hope for Kids is only able to provide Dinner Saturday and Breakfast Sunday for incoming volunteers and their children. If you will not be a volunteer for the upcoming week, you will need to go off site for meals. • Hope for Kids is unable to provide the use of laundry machines, so please plan on going to a local laundromat to do laundry, or pack 2 weeks worth of clothes. • ANYONE UNDER 18 MUST have an ADULT at camp with them that will take FULL responsibility for them between camps. You will need to provide the adult's name and contact information. We will verify with them that they will be responsible for your camper.
