Special Week of Camp

A SPECIAL WEEK OF FAMILY CAMP

The Special Week of Camp is a five-day camp designed especially for the families of campers, ages 8-21, who may have social challenges and/or special needs. We provide a fun-filled week of camp for kids with a variety of diagnoses which include physical, neurological, sensory and cognitive disabilities. The entire family comes to this week of camp which is designed to meet the needs of the parents and siblings as well as the exceptional campers. Mentors volunteer to help with the campers during the day while the parents enjoy classes, devotionals and times of fun fellowship with other parents. The mission of SWOC is to offer a safe and enjoyable environment for children who need specialized supports for summer camp activities.

Is the Special Needs Camp at Camp Hope for Kids the right camp for your child?

Our programs may not be a good fit for some children who present with aggressive or oppositional behaviors, limited language skills, limited cognitive ability or limited self-care skills.

Contact Melissa Burch at specialneeds.hopeforkids@gmail.com to discuss whether or not this week of camp can meet your child’s needs.
