Job Title: Property Manager
About Hope for Kids:
Hope for Kids operates a camp that is situated on approximately 90 acres in rural Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. The facilities consist of some 45 cabins, 2 gymnasiums, Main Dining Hall, Athletic fields, Swimming Pool, Rock Wall, Zip line and many other activities and facilities.
The programs serve children and teens from across the ACR. There are additional programs
that serve underserved children from the inner city; special needs children and their families,
Leadership Training programs, as well as Sports and Performing Arts programs. In all some
2500 people are served during the camp sessions.
Job Summary:
Hope for Kids is interested in a person with hands-on skills to perform the daily maintenance
issues and repairs, year-round.
Essential Job Functions:
Property Manager to be responsible to the Director of Facilities for all maintenance on Camp
Property, including but not limited to:
Management of Utility Systems (wellwater, septic, electric & propane)
Upkeep of buildings and grounds; directing and oversight of adult maintenance volunteers
Coordination of event tasks and property management with Crew Chiefs
Coordination of vendors and contractors on Camp Property.
Personal Qualifications
Applicant is to be self-motivated; familiar with general construction, plumbing, and electrical work
Ability to be flexible with changing task requests; able to coordinate with other staff leaders; management of other staff members and have a mindset of a cheerful, humble servant.
Basic Duties
The basic duties are varied and would include but not be limited to:
Opening and closing of property for winterization
Lawn and Landscape Maintenance; General Site cleanup
General Repairs and Maintenance
Managing well water system that complies with DEP regulations
Maintain Swimming Pool at opening and closing of season
Managing of volunteer groups, on and off-season
Work Schedule
Our programs are in session from June through August, but require work dates of September 2023 to March 2024 (or 6 months from start) to close and prepare the property.
During the camp sessions the work schedule is 6 days a week with Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon as time-off.
The work day is considered a minimum of 8 hours or as needed due to additional needs or emergencies.
The Off-season is when on-going repairs and tree work are done to maintain the property and facilities.
Off-season work schedule based on a 40 hour week.
Housing
Due to the integral involvement needed to manage the property, on-site housing is provided year round.

Vacation: One week vacation for the first year then 2 week vacation starting the second year.
All times off to be taken during the off-season with approval by Facilities Director.
Holidays
New Years Day, Memorial Day July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.
If holiday falls on camp session comp time will be substituted.
Compensation
Based upon needs and experience.
